North Macedonia (2015) - The Committee against Torture considered the third periodic report of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (CAT/C/MKD/3) at its 1310th and 1313th meetings (CAT/C/SR.1310 and 1313), held on 4 and 5 May 2015, and adopted, at its 1317th meeting, held on 7 May 2015, the following concluding observations.
Serbia (2015) - The Committee against Torture considered the second periodic report of Serbia (CAT/C/SRB/2) at its 1304th and 1307th meetings, held on 29 and 30 April 2015 (see CAT/C/SR.1304 and 1307), and adopted the following concluding observations at its 1322nd and 1323rd meetings, held on 12 May 2015.
Germany (CRPD 13-05-2015) - The Committee considered the initial report of Germany (CRPD/C/DEU/1) at its 174th and 175th meetings (see CRPD/C/SR.174 and 175), held on 26 and 27 March 2015, respectively, and adopted the following concluding observations at its 194th meeting, held on 13 April 2015.
In 2015 Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Nils Muižnieks published eight recommendations on intersex in the report Human Rights and Intersex People (2015). Muižnieks was Commissioner for Human Rights from 2012 to 2018.
Switzerland (CRC 26-02-2015) - The Committee considered the combined second to fourth periodic reports of Switzerland (CRC/C/CHE/2–4) at its 1959th and 1961st meetings (see CRC/C/SR.1959 and 1961), held on 21 and 22 January 2015, and adopted the following concluding observations, at its 1983rd meeting, held on 30 January 2015.
Poland (CEDAW 14-11-2014) - The Committee considered the combined seventh and eighth periodic reports of Poland (CEDAW/C/POL/7-8) at its 1249th and 1250th meetings, on 22 October 2014 (see CEDAW/C/SR.1249 and 1250). Hungary (CRC 14-10-2014) - The Committee considered the combined third, fourth and fifth periodic reports of Hungary (CRC/C/HUN/3-5) at its 1915th and 1916th meetings (see CRC/C/SR.1915 and 1916), held on 9 and 10 September 2014, and adopted, at its 1929th meeting, held on 19 September 2014, the following concluding observations.
On Wednesday, the 8th of October 2014 the European Intersex Meeting took place in Riga. The goal of the meeting was to identify objectives and strategies to advocate for the full implementation of human rights and bodily integrity and self-determination for intersex individuals in Europe on the grounds of the Demands of the Malta Statement, formulated at the 3rd International Intersex Forum 2013.
Russian Federation (CRC 25-02-2014) - The Committee considered the combined fourth and fifth periodic reports of the Russian Federation (CRC/C/RUS/4-5) at its 1863rd and 1864th meetings (see CRC/C/SR.1863 and 1864), held on 23 and 24 January 2014, and adopted, at its 1875th meeting, held on 31 January 2014, the following concluding observations.
Between 29 November and 1 December 2013, the Third International Intersex Forum took place in Valletta, Malta. This event brought together 34 activists representing 30 intersex organisations from all continents. The Public Statement by the Third International Intersex Forum is also know as the Malta Declaration.
