Intersex Community

Many intersex organisations are young and quite small. And most intersex organisations do not receive sufficient funding to grow quickly. But there is an international intersex movement. More and more people are joining this movement because they recognize themselves in the Malta Declaration, an overview in which 30 intersex organisations from Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania say what change is needed.

Although each region now has its own intersex statement, it always says that the Malta Declaration is the starting point. As a result, the international intersex movement has a common starting point that can be translated into international, regional, and local policy.
